Chelsea are preparing for a party this weekend, as Jose Mourinho’s men are set to finally be handed the Premier League trophy.
In truth, the silverware could have been handed over alongside the Capital One Cup in March, with the Blues having been the dominant side in the country all year.
Yet Mourinho remains a perfectionist, and will still be fuming with the manner in which his side’s Champions League dream collapsed to 10 man Paris St Germain.
Mourinho has never got past a semi final in both spells as Chelsea boss, and success in the Champions League will be his prime objective next term.

Raphael Varane
The Real Madrid centre back was given his big break in Spanish football by Jose Mourinho, and the Chelsea boss has been a big admirer ever since.
Chelsea find themselves linked with a move for the France international every transfer window, and this summer may be the time in which they finally land their man.
With John Terry nearing the end of his Chelsea career, reports suggest Mourinho has identified Varane as the natural successor to the Blues legend.
Paul Pogba
Another Frenchman believed to be on Chelsea’s radar is former Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba.
Pogba has enjoyed a superb season, and only last week helped inspire Juventus to the Champions League final.
Reports last summer suggested Chelsea held a meeting with him in London over the prospect of a big money transfer, and should he deliver the biggest trophy of all to the Old Lady at the end of the month, there are few who would stand in his way should he express a desire to return to England and prove himself.
Antoine Griezmann
Atletico Madrid only completed the signing of the French winger last summer, but his performances at the Vicente Calderon have seen him already been linked with a host of European super-powers.
Griezmann is up there with the top scorers in Europe during 2015, and with Juan Cuadrado looking a disappointment, reports suggest Chelsea will try and raid Atletico once again this summer.
Thibaut Courtouis (after a three year loan), Felipe Luis and Diego Costa all swapped the Vicente Calderon for Stamford Bridge last summer – an indication Diego Simeone’s side struggle to keep a hold of their prized assets when big money offers come in.
Christian Benteke
The Belgian has redisovered the sort of form that saw him become one of the most wanted strikers in Europe almost two years ago.
And with Didier Drogba nearing the end of his career and Diego Costa and Loic Remy having endured fitness troubles throughout the season, it would not be a surprise to see Chelsea make a move for his services.
Benteke has that balance of being a target man and a goalscorer, and falls into the category of the type of forward Mourinho is after – whilst his goals over the second half of the season have gone a huge way toward keeping Villa in the Premier League under Tim Sherwood.
Raheem Sterling
There seems to be no way back for Raheem Sterling at Liverpool, with the 20-year-old seemingly having his heart set on a return to London – the city where he was brought up.
Chelsea are amongst the few London clubs capable of affording him, and look set to battle it out with Arsenal for his signature this summer.
Whilst Sterling’s form over the second half of the season has dipped considerably, he has the potential to become one of Europe’s best, whilst his ability to play a number of positions in the attacking third would make him a valuable addition to this Chelsea squad.
