5 players who could follow Alexandre Pato out of Chelsea this summer

The Chelsea fans at the Transfer Tavern are still recovering from their hangovers after the terrible campaign that the Blues suffered through.

Alexandre Pato was signed in January on loan from Corinthians but it looks as though his time at Stamford Bridge is up, as reported by the Daily Star.

Chelsea finished the campaign in 10th place, the worst ever title defence in Premier League history and many players will surely be on their way out of Stamford Bridge and look to play European football.

Antonio Conte has been recruited and will be in charge of the Blues for the upcoming season but this news may not thrill some of Chelsea’s biggest stars. Conte is renowned for being harsh and his style may not suit some of the Chelsea boys.

Along with Pato, the Landlord at the Tavern has gathered up a list of FIVE other players who surely will be looking to leave Chelsea this summer……

Diego Costa

The Mirror, has posted the news that everybody in England has been wishing for.

Atletico Madrid want Diego Costa back in Spain and English fans will be glad to see the back of him.

The Spanish striker was omitted form the Spain squad and has a history of disgusting behaviour in the Premier League, the Chelsea fans at the Tavern are worried that this leaves the club with no world class striker for the upcoming season.

Thibaut Courtois

Sky Sports, have revealed that Real Madrid may be after the Chelsea keeper if they fail to lure David De Gea from Manchester United.

Real, who just won their 11th European Cup would surely be too big to turn down for the Belgian who has previously played for their rivals, Atletico.

The Chelsea fans at the Tavern think that there are plenty of great goalkeepers around that could replace him, considering he had such a poor season.

Oscar

The Landlord at the Tavern wasn’t surprised when he read the Telegraph‘s report that Chelsea could “cash in” on the Oscar.

The Brazilian failed to make an impact this season and will surely be looking to find a club elsewhere to get his career back on track.

Oscar has lots of quality and Chelsea could surely sell the 24-year-old for a heap of money.

Willian

The only man who showed his quality for Chelsea this season was Willian.

The Brazilian is wanted by his former manager and Chelsea hero, Jose Mourinho at Manchester United according to the Express.

Chelsea would be very reluctant to sell their star player but Willian may prefer to play for a club playing European football, even if it is in the Europa League.

Cesc Fabregas

And to end off with the five big-name players that could be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, is Cesc Fabregas.

The Standard reports that Fabregas wants European football and may be willing to forget his childhood allegiance to Barcelona and sign for European Champions, Real Madrid.

It would surely be a controversial deal but the ex-Arsenal man has been the centre of controversy on many a time.

The bartender at the Tavern thinks this deal is unlikely but anything is possible in football.
