Reece Oxford

Reports that Manchester United are preparing a move for the teenage West Ham United superstar emerged in the press today, as it’s clear the Red Devils are set to go toe-to-toe with Premier League rivals Arsenal for the signature of one of England’s most exciting prospects.
Having already proven his worth in the Hammers first-team this season, the England U17 captain seems destined for bigger and better things. First-team football is more likely in East London than at Arsenal or indeed United but the allure of the Red Devils could prove to be too much.
Sadio Mane

A player that’s adorned the back pages since the summer, when news of Manchester United’s interest first emerged, Louis Van Gaal seems desperate to secure the signature of the 23-year-old attacker in the New Year.
With United’s attack faltering this season, Mane would be a welcome addition and fits two of Van Gaal’s criteria- being a pacy winger to add a dimension to his attack and also meeting the requirement of being a young player capable of creating a legacy past the Dutchman’s retirement.
However, Bayern Munich’s interest could prove to be a big problem.
Saido Berahino

Another player thats adorned the back pages since the last transfer window, though more regularly linked with Tottenham Hotspur, is West Brom’s 22-year-old striker Saido Berahino- a player United are eying to bolster their attack.
With too much pressure on young Anthony Martial, and Wayne Rooney being as useful as a chocolate teapot in the Sahara desert, a new striker is a top priority for Louis Van Gaal. Huge signings are usually unlikely in the mid-season window, which puts Berahino as the most suitable candidate to be signed.
Breel Embolo

Another potential forward signing for Manchester United in January is the talented Breel Embolo, an FC Basel star who has attracted vast interest across the continent following his performances with the Swiss side. Although rather inexperienced, Embolo could fit the bill perfectly.
As mentioned previously, big signings in January are a difficult commodity to come by and this puts Embolo higher up the priority list. That’s not to say he’s an inferior addition compared to other United targets but his name won’t be immediately in lights upon his arrival.
Youri Tielemans

Whilst Juventus and Atletico Madrid chase the signature of Anderlecht’s Youri Tielemans, Manchester United are seen as the most likely club to secure his services. The Belgian is highly-rated and could provide the fresh of breath are needed at Old Trafford but he won’t come cheap.
Tied-down with Anderlecht for a further four-and-a-half years, a huge fee would be required to persuade the Belgian club into a sale. Nevertheless, finances are not a problem for United and they would be prepared to match any asking price in order to secure their man.
