The curious case of Mr Olly Giroud.
The Frenchman has seemingly been a few well taken finishes away from being lauded, or a few glaring misses away from being lambasted for most of his Arsenal carer.
However, the French forward is currently entrenched in the longest barren spell of his Gunners career and without a goal since January.
As a result, the former Montpellier marksman has been linked with a shock move to Bundesliga outfit to replace former teammate Nicklas Bendtner.

While his lack of strikes has coincided with the club fading away from title contention, it would be unfair to attribute their complete crumble solely to the under-fire Les Blues international.
There are a number of players who’ve let the side down, while the inquest into manager Arsene Wenger continues.
There have been reports that a major summer overhaul is being planned at the Emirates as Wenger looks to land that elusive fourth title next season.

Kieran Gibbs
England international Kieran Gibbs has lost his place in the starting lineup to Nacho Monreal and shows little sign of taking that back.
With the Gunners linked with a move for Leicester City starlet Ben Chilwell, Gibbs is reportedly a target for Newcastle United should the Toon Army manage to stave off relegation.
Unlikely to be hugely missed in North London, though he is a popular member of the squad.
Theo Walcott
Amazing really that Theo Walcott hasn’t invoked the ire of the Gunners faithful anywhere near as much as his French colleague.
Despite arguably being worse.
Walcott has failed to wholly convince as both a winger and a centre-forward across his decade at the Emirates other than a few bright glimpses here and there.
The emergence of Alex Iwobi has condemned the England star to the sidelines and he’s been linked with moves to both Manchester City and West Ham United.
David Ospina
David Ospina is a decent enough goalkeeper, though has little chance of ousting the legendary Petr Cech between the posts.
The Colombian has failed to convince when fielded as the club’s Number 1 often enough and is thought to be a target for Everton as they bid to replace Tim Howard this summer.
Perhaps good enough to stick around as a backup, the former Nice custodian would do well to earn another Premier League move off the back of his Gunners’ performances.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Nobody would ever really advocate the selling of a talented young England international, though ‘The Ox’ appears to have a touch of the old Theo Walcott syndrome.
Despite clearly boasting a huge level of talent, the 22-year old has struggled to nail down a starting berth in a defined position after spending five years at the Emirates.
Having not progressed in the way many would have liked, he’s been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta is club captain. Perhaps that’s indicative of Arsenal in their current state.
A classy passer of the ball with a wealth of support, though all too often injured and ineffective on the big stage.
The Spaniard is set to retire, with suggestions he could move to Manchester City as part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff.
