Perhaps the most likely transfer to happen is Paul Pogba to City. The French international has openly admitted he would like to work under Pep Guardiola and feels he can help him become a better player.

The City fans over at the bar are becoming excited by the prospect of signing the 22-year old and hope that his capture could  replace Yaya Toure’s  presence in midfield, who looks certain to leave in the summer.

City fans at the bar were impressed by his performances against them in the Champions League group stages and believe he can dominate their midfield for years to come.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley

A player who has been very heavily linked with Manchester City is Everton midfielder Ross Barkley. He has impressed this season, scoring eight goals and assisting eight in 26 Premier League appearances.

Everton currently value their midfielder at around £50 million. City are currently favourites to land him.

The 22-year old would be a welcome addition and would add towards the required amount of home grown player at the Etihad.

John Stones

Another Everton player who has been heavily linked is English centre-back John Stones. Pep Guardiola is reportedly desperate to land the 21-year old.

According to reports, the Blues would be willing spend in excess of £40 million to land the Barnsley-born defender. Guardiola is reportedly a big fan of the Englishman because of his ball-playing skills as a defender.

Stones would also be another player who would add towards the required amount of home gown players at Man City.

Ilkay Gundogan

Gundogan

Man City have been linked with the 25-year old in recent weeks after it was reported that they are showing an increased interest in him.

The German international’s contract expires in 2017 and it has been widely reported that he has told Dortmund he will not extending his contract.

SPORT claims that the Gundogan has informed Barcelona that he will be a  Manchester City player next season.

Neymar

Neymar

The Brazilian 23-year-old is currently negotiating a new contract at Barcelona. Neymar’s current contract runs out in 2018 and Barcelona are keen to renew it.

Neymar has admitted he is a big fan of both Guardiola and Mourinho, “I am an admirer of Guardiola and of Mourinho. I have followed his work for many years.” If his comments are anything to go by, there could be a potential head-to-head battle for his signature in the forthcoming summer.

Neymar would give the Blues the push they need to kick on and properly challenge for European football each year.
