Fortunately, there has been some positive news on the transfer front with reports that Arsenal are set to launch a move for Portuguese star Ruben Neves- who would be a shrewd addition to the midfield, especially in the absence of Francis Coquelin.
However, our fans genuinely believe that further additions are required in January to further their chances of landing the Premier League title.

Mauro Icardi
Arsenal’s search for a striker has led them to Italy, where Mauro Icardi awaits and it could be a match made in heaven. The 22-year-old has struggled this season under Inter Milan’s new formation, with suggestions he’s open to an exit.
Accord would provide an immediate alternative to Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott at the Emirates, whilst the age of the young Argentine gives him plenty of years to develop into a star in North London. For Arsene Wenger, this man seems ideal.
Isco
A dream signing for Arsenal in January would be Real Madrid’s Isco and in recent weeks their chances of luring the Spaniard to North London have increased drastically. Coming to terms with the fact he’s unlikely to ever be a first-choice midfield option in the Spanish capital, unsettled Isco is now eying an exit.
Top sides from across Europe would be attracted to his signature but Arsenal can offer him regular first-team football, either in the centre of midfield as a long-term replacement to Santi Cazorla or as a winger; with Arsenal currently playing Aaron Ramsey out of position on the right.
Daniele Rugani
Arsenal have tracked the Italian defender for a while and their chances of signing him have received a boost this season, with Rugani playing just minutes for Juventus this season- something the young defender is far from happy with.
A January exit is more likely to be a loan, which would put Roma as the favourites for his signature, but the lure of Arsenal cannot be underestimated and Arsene Wenger could convince the youngster that North London would be his ideal destination.
John Stones
Another potential defensive signing for Arsenal is Everton defender John Stones, with the Gunners interest first being raised over the weekend. His £30m price-tag is off putting, and doesn’t make Arsenal favourites, but it cannot be ruled out.
With Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny reaching the twilight years of their career, a young defender would be a shrewd addition. Arsenal already have Gabriel Paulista and Calum Chambers but there’s growing indications that the latter will develop into a defensive-midfielder, leaving Arsenal short at the back.
Nolito
A signing that’s been linked with Arsenal since the season began is Celta Vigo forward Nolito, who is available for around £13m should the Gunners match his release clause. Report suggest the Spaniard prefers Barcelona but that option may not be forthcoming.
Barcelona are in financial difficulties and need to sell in order to bring fresh faces into the club in January, which gives Arsenal and advantage in the negotiations. Seal a deal quickly and Barcelona will be left helpless.
