Our resident Man United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are so excited about this summer transfer window, with the Tavern currently jam-packed with transfer rumours regarding the Red Devils!
Borussia Dortmund appear adamant not to let go of star man, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the salary that Jose and Co. are willing to offer the Armenian may mean that the German side won’t be able to do much to stop him.
The Daily Star have reported that according to German newspaper, Bild, United are willing to pay the 27-year-old just shy of £8m a year.
We all know that money talks these days, so should Mkhitaryan make the move to Old Trafford, what other Der BVB stars could Jose tempt to the Theatre of Dreams? Here at Transfer Tavern we think these FIVE would be the perfect choice for the Special One….

Lukasz Pizczek

Matteo Darmian hasn’t had the worst of times at Man United but then again he hasn’t exactly been spectacular.
A move for Piszczek could provide Jose with top quality for that right back spot.
Despite the Polish international being just the wrong side of 30 he still provides an exciting option in terms of getting forward and is proven when getting back to defend, and Mourinho will always prefer an older proven winner over a youngster.
Marco Reus

It almost seems to be the question of when Marco Reus will leave Dortmund as opposed to if he will, as over the years he has watched a host of stars, even his manager, depart and his signature could well be high on the priority list of many of Europe’s top clubs.
The arrival of Memphis Depay under Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford was met with great excitement, however during his first season at the club he failed to live up to the hype.
Maybe Depay just needs the right coach, but Jose doesn’t ever have time for that, he wants champions now and therefore Reus could be the perfect winger to bring silverware back to the red half of Manchester.
Gonzalo Castro

It is rumoured that United are in the market for another central midfielder, with Schneiderlin having not quite fitted the bill and Carrick and Schweinsteiger begging to show their age.
With all that in mind Castro could be the man to step into the fold.
The 29-year-old is a hard working and industrious central midfielder, who is not afraid to have a pop at goal when the time is right, chipping in with seven goals for his club last season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

No explanation really needed here.
One player that any United fan would take in a heartbeat.
The pace and supreme finishing ability that the 26-year-old obtains are second to none and make him one of the top centre-forwards on the planet.
However, the Gabon international has persistently reiterated his desire to join the European Champions, Real Madrid, when the time is right and therefore in order to bring this star to Old Trafford, United would have to offer something quite ridiculous.
Shinja Kagawa

Kagawa has come on leaps and bounds since his time at Old Trafford under Sir Alex and now, aged 27, may be just the time to make his return to Manchester.
Kagawa only showed glimpses of his talent in the Premier League and since leaving has transformed himself into a key player at Dortmund, with a real ability to dictate and manage a game from midfield.
Furthermore Kagawa is no stranger to scoring, having bagged 10 goals for his club last season
