Manchester United seem set for a busy summer, whether that be under Louis Van Gaal or another manager, and it appears the main focus of their transfer activity will be orientated around Germany.
Latest reports suggest that United are eyeing a swoop for Bayer Leverkusen’s trio of stars; Omer Toprak, Hakan Calhanoglu and Karim Bellarabi- which would provide the Red Devils with a new spine through the centre of the squad.
With Leverkusen not the biggest club in Germany, and far from competitors in Europe, the club may be open for a sale for the right price and the players themselves would likely be open to a move- so it’s a fantastic prospect for our fans to discuss in the bar.
Rightly though, they don’t believe these three additions would be enough to fix all of United’s problems and they feel a major overhaul is required to get the Red Devils back to the pinnacle of English football once again.
As such, they’ve identified some players that they believe could be signed in addition to this Bundesliga trio- and it’s certainly exciting.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

It seems Zlatan Ibrahimovic is destined for a final swan song in Europe with Manchester United, as it’s reported the player himself is certain a move will happen this summer. With the Swede’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain reaching it’s conclusion this season, it’s certainly not a difficult transfer to imagine taking shape.
With experience playing across Europe, Ibrahimovic would provide United with a tremendous coup although he would purely be a short-term fix, as it’s likely he will move to the United States in 2017 to finish what’s been an incredible career.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Sticking with a striker theme, Manchester United are planning to beat Arsenal to a £70m Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal. Whether such a deal materialises remains to be seen, with Borussia Dortmund adamant they won’t sell, but a high price could change that stance.
The Gabonese forward has hit a remarkable 22-goals in the Bundesliga this season, helping Dortmund challenge Bayern Munich for the title, and his form has seen him establish himself as one of the leading strikers in Europe.
If United got a deal done for the 26-year-old, their attacking prowess would improve expediently.
Mauro Icardi

Another day, another striker but it seems if Manchester United get Jose Mourinho as their new manager, they’ll also land Mauro Icardi- as it’s stated the Portuguese boss is lining up the 23-year-old Argentine as his first signing for the Red Devils.
Captain of the Italian outfit, Icardi has a wealth of experience and plenty of room to improve in the coming years. Should Roberto Mancini fail to lead the Serie A giants into a Champions League spot, then the club may be persuaded to sell Icardi- and United will be front of the queue.
Sergio Ramos

Manchester United’s defence is in need of a reshuffle and a world-class addition would be ideal. With news emerging last week that long-term target Sergio Ramos has handed in a transfer request at Real Madrid, United’s eyes will have sparked into life.
The experienced central defender has won everything he can get his hands on in Spanish football and on the international stage, as well as the Champions League, so if he does decide on a move, Manchester United could be the perfect fit for the player to embark on a new challenge.
The Red Devils have the financial strength to secure a deal, so expect a move this summer.
Miralim Pjanic

Roma’s Bosnian international Miralim Pjanic has emerged as a target for a number of Premier League sides this month and recent reports suggest Manchester United are ready to blow Chelsea out of the water with a move of their own.
Likely to cost around £31m due to his release clause, Pjanic would bolster the United midfield and provide a great attacking avenue- whilst the player would also dictate the pace of the game and keep the opposition’s influence limited.
