The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern haven’t had a great deal to shout about over the last three seasons, since Sir Alex Ferguson opted to call time on a glittering career as the club’s manager.
Current boss Louis Van Gaal is under increased pressure with every passing game it would seem and it remains unclear whether or not the club will choose to replace him in the coming months.
Next season is crucial for the Red Devils as they look to re-establish themselves as a major force in English football once again and to achieve that aim, more money needs to be spent.
With silverware this season still realistically possible in the Europa League and FA Cup, the club will no doubt cast their attentions towards next season and a battle for the Premier League title.
One United fan is putting some music on via the jukebox here in the Tavern and thinks the club needs at least five stellar signings if the glory days are to imminently return to the red half of Manchester.

Neymar
The Brazilian boy-wonder has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for the past year now and it has been suggested that he will be ready to make the switch in the summer.
The 23-year-old has netted an astonishing 47 goals in 77 appearances for Barcelona and it will take a world record fee to tempt the Catalan giants into a sale.
Whilst Luis Enrique will not want to lose one of his star players, Neymar’s desire to go and play in another European league could be a deciding factor in where his future lies.
Marco Reus
The German midfielder has been loyal to Dortmund for close to four years now and when his team-mates have jumped ship to pursue pastures new, Reus has always stamped his colours to the mast.
It does look unlikely however that the club can keep hold of their prized asset for too much longer, with silverware all too irregular at Westfalenstadion.
Should the midfielder opt to leave the German giants he will have no shortage of clubs vying for his signature but United would certainly be an attractive proposition for the player.
John Stones
The Everton central defender probably isn’t at a world class level as of yet but would he improve on what United currently have at the back? Yes.
The Red Devils will need to act quickly to snare the player from the grasp of Manchester City, but Stones is a player the club could certainly do with.
The 21-year-old has come in for some criticism this season due to his ball-playing exploits out from the back, but United need a calming influence next to someone like Chris Smalling, and Stones could offer that for years to come.
Jack Butland
Like Stones, the Stoke City goalkeeper looks set to be an England number one in the future and it is pretty clear at this stage that one of the country’s top clubs beckons.
With Real Madrid’s interest in David de Gea not decreasing in the slightest it looks seemingly likely that the Spanish keeper could soon make his way back to his native country.
United will need a contingency plan should they opt to sell de Gea and they could do a lot worse than make an offer for Stoke’s player of the year so far.
A club such as the Potters would not be able to hold onto one of their players should a top club come calling and on this season’s evidence Butland is destined for far bigger things.
Thomas Muller
The versatile Bayern Munich attacker can play on either side of a front three or in a more central role and is generally a jack of all trades when it comes to operating in the final third of a football pitch.
The German international has said in the past that he would be tempted to sample the Premier League in England and with Munich boss Pep Guardiola departing the club in the summer, Muller could be tempted to leave too.
Despite seemingly being around forever Muller is still only 26-years-old so he won’t come on the cheap, but that shouldn’t bother United who will need to spend the necessary money in order to recapture greatness on the pitch.
