Chelsea managed their first victory of the Premier League season at the Hawthorns on Sunday, but not without controversy.
Skipper John Terry was sent off early in the second half, and Mourinho’s men found themselves hanging onto a 2-3 victory at a ground that has proved a difficult venue for them in recent years.
In and amongst the drama, Diego Costa got off the mark with his first goal of the season.
Yet there is still a feeling Chelsea need another forward to support the fiery Spaniard.
Loic Remy has struggled with injury problems since his move to Stamford Bridge, whilst Radamel Falcao looked completely unsuited to the Premier League last season with Manchester United.
Costa’s injury record is hardly perfect, so with that in mind we have identified five players the Blues could target between now and the close of the transfer window to support their main man.

Edinson Cavani
The Uruguayan has been a long term target for Chelsea, yet the right moment to secure his signature has never arrived.
Once again there is concern about Cavani’s future at Paris St Germain, with reports continuing to suggest he is craving a more central role.
Whether he would be keen to move to the Premier League and depart a club where he is one of the highest earners is another matter however.
Alexandre Pato
Reports today suggest Chelsea have been offered the opportunity to sign former AC Milan star Alexandre Pato for as little as £10million.
The Brazilian is keen for a move from Corinthians, where he endured a torrid campaign last season.
The club are also apparently desperate to get him off the wage bill, and would be an affordable option for Chelsea to explore with just eight days of the transfer window remaining.
Thomas Muller
Chelsea have already pipped Manchester United to one of their major transfer targets, with £21million man Pedro signing from Barcelona last week.
The Red Devils are said to be interested in Bayern Munich star and proven goalscorer Thomas Muller, with the Bundesliga champions demanding a massive £60million.
Chelsea are one of the few clubs who could afford him, with his goal record for both Bayern and the German national team suggesting he would be worth every penny.
Javier Hernandez
The Mexican striker is a player Chelsea know well, given the fact he always seems to score against them when playing for Manchester United.
Louis van Gaal allowed the ‘little pea’ to spend last season on loan at Real Madrid, and has given him no assurances over his future this summer.
It appears a proven Premier League goalscorer is just waiting to be picked up for a fee that could be as little as £12million.
Charlie Austin
A long shot perhaps, but let us not forget Charlie Austin fired 18 goals for a relegated club in the Premier League last season.
A host of clubs have been linked with a move for the £15million rated striker, including Chelsea at various points over the summer.
Whether Austin would be keen in moving to a club where he would essentially be fourth choice is unclear however, with the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Newcastle all willing to give him a starring role.
