The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been a miserable bunch during the current campaign, and they are hoping a win in the FA Cup Final this weekend can at least offer a bit of positivity.
United will take on Crystal Palace looking to claim their first title since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson and next season is likely to be a massive one for the club.
Louis van Gaal could yet be replaced in the summer and whoever is overseeing managerial duties must enter the transfer market to sign the players, capable of putting the Red Devils back on the map.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Completing a deal for the Swedish superstar would go a long way towards putting a smile back on the faces of the Manchester United supporters, after missing out on both Renato Sanches and Andre Gomes already.
The Sweden international is likely to decide his future before jetting off to France with the national team for this summer’s Euros, and Manchester United could be a probable destination for the striker.
United are craving some major silverware after years in the wilderness since Sir Alex Ferguson departed and Ibrahimovic could be just the man to provide an injection of quality into the Red Devils’ squad.
Antoine Griezmann
The French striker has netted 22 goals in La Liga during the current campaign and is a wanted man this summer.
If his current club Atletico Madrid go on to win the Champions League at the end of the month, there is every indication that he could sign a new contract with the La Liga club, although his head is bound to be turned.
The former Real Sociedad man has a keen eye for goal and can play in a number of positions across the front line, making him a must for United to pursue.
John Stones
If Manchester United do secure the services of Stones then he would be very much one for the future, with question marks over certain aspects of his game this season.
That said there is clearly a good central defender in the youngster and very few are doubting his potential to go onto become one of the best defenders England has to offer, which could make the signing a good one for United.
At present he is playing for Everton who aren’t blessed with the same level of quality as Manchester United and for the good of Stones’ development, he might be better served playing with better players.
James Rodriguez
Manchester United are crying out for some quality additions to come into their squad. Okay so they have good players, but how many of their current crop could play for say, Real Madrid or Barcelona? Not many.
Rodriguez would be classed as s truly magnificent signing and if Louis van Gaal ends up staying at Old Trafford, the signing of the Colombian would put a smile back on some of those frowning Manchester United faces.
The skilful forward still has a lot to offer in his career and he looks set to leave Real Madrid during the summer after falling down the pecking order. United need to make sure they don’t miss the boat here.
Romelu Lukaku
Manchester United are crying out for a natural born finisher to take away some of the goal burden, currently on Anthony Martial and the Everton man would be a great addition.
The Belgian striker hit 20 goals during the current campaign, and with the Toffees enduring a miserable season it wouldn’t be a major surprise to see him move on in the not so distant future.
Lukaku has scored goals in the Premier League for both West Bromwich Albion and Everton and there would be no settling in period, should the striker make a switch to Old Trafford.
