‘£60m + Gareth Bale please’ - Man United fans fear exit of star-man is imminent

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have admitted their domestic campaign has been disappointing this season, but are praying for a positive finale in tonight’s Europa League clash with Ajax.

The Red Devils are favourites to lift the title in Stockholm and seal a spot in the Champions League next season, although many fans are fearful that a huge name could be snapped up by Real Madrid.

Spanish stopper David De Gea continues to be linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and fans believe an ominous message sent on Instagram after the Premier League’s finale is the stopper’s way of saying goodbye.

Whilst the post from the Spaniard was merely thanking fans for their support, many believe that the likelihood Sergio Romero will play in the Europa League final tonight, means that they’ve seen De Gea in a Red Devils jersey for the last time.

Comments flooded in on Instagram urging the goalkeeper to stay and that message was also posted on social media, where supporters begged their star man not to leave.
