The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with the fine form of N’Golo Kante this season…
The Frenchman has come to Stamford Bridge and really transformed the way that the Blues play – and alongside Nemanja Matic has formed what is arguably the best midfield in the Premier League.
His fine form, though, has brought him under the microscope – with many fans in the Transfer Tavern sat around waiting for him to finally deliver a bad performance.
In a Chelsea shirt, it has yet to happen, but unfortunately for Kante – he really struggled on Tuesday night for his native France. With the French national side succumbing to a 2-0 loss, Kante was very poor in the midfield, leaving many fans in the pub criticising him. Indeed, many Man Utd fans even used the display as proof that Paul Pogba is better than Kante.
Unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans on Twitter have been quick to come to the defence of Kante – with many simply taking the game for what it was: a poor 90 minutes…
