Liverpool have been in sublime form this season as they continue to establish themselves as Premier League title challengers.
The Reds secured a late draw against Chelsea yesterday to extend their unbeaten start to the campaign, with supporters beginning to get excited. And, it now looks as if Jurgen Klopp is looking at potential additions, as according to the Mirror, Aaron Ramsey is wanted by Liverpool.
Interestingly, Liverpool will lead the chase for Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey after having a summer enquiry for the Wales international knocked back.
It’s believed that Jurgen Klopp tried to sign the 27-year-old Gunner during the last transfer window.
That interest was rebuffed, but Klopp will be back in again for the midfielder following the shock decision by Unai Emery and Arsenal to abort talks over a new contract.
Also, it’s believed that Ramsey is excited at the opportunity of playing under Klopp at Anfield and would also link up again with another former Gunner in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
THE VERDICT:
Aaron Ramsey has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League over the years, but he just hasn’t been able to meet his high expectations so far this season.
Indeed, the Welshman appears to be heading for an inevitable exit from the Emirates Stadium as Emery has aborted contract talks with the midfielder. But, Liverpool won’t complain as the experienced Wales international could really take their midfield to the next level.
