The international break has not always been too kind to a number of clubs in the past and it appears Crystal Palace may be one of the latest teams to be on the negative side of what it can bring.
The last thing Roy Hodgson’s side needs is an injury blow to one of their key players with just a handful of Premier League matches left to play, however, it would seem one of their stars will be returning to Selhurst Park in a concerning condition.
What’s the New?
According to a report by The Daily Mail, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been forced to withdraw from the England Under-21s because of injury.
However, what will be concerning is that the extent of the problem – or what exactly is the problem – has not been disclosed, leaving some concern for those at Crystal Palace.
The Verdict:

Wan-Bissaka has emerged into one of Hodgson’s key players this season and his injury scare will come at an untimely stage of the season, as the Eagles continue to look over their shoulder regarding the relegation battle.
The 21-year-old has been a prominent figure for Crystal Palace and has attracted plenty of interest as the campaign has gone on, whilst there was a chance for him to be included in the senior England side during the current international break.
It’s obviously a fresh injury as the defender played the match against Watford in the FA Cup quarter-final last weekend, although he did miss the Poland Under-21 match on Thursday night.
With just eight games to go in the Premier League, Wan-Bissaka’s potential absence could be huge and one that has a real negative effect on Palace’s season – which will only go further to annoy some about the current international break.
Crystal Palace fans, how much of a blow could Wan-Bissaka’s latest injury be if it is serious? Are you concerned that the details have not been revealed? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
