The Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are already in party mood this Christmas, following Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club which has seen the Blues become rampant at the top of the Premier League table.

The West Londoners are six points clear in the Barclays Premier table and after last season’s debacle, the loyal bunch of fans here in the Tavern are really satisfied with the Italian’s start to the campaign.

Chelsea have been solid in defence and lethal in attack and Conte could be forgiven for sticking with his current crop of players for the rest of the season.

However, one Blues follower is putting some tracks on the jukebox here in the Tavern and he is intrigued by the January transfer window, stating that Conte might look to stamp his own authority on the squad.

Although Chelsea’s current crop of defenders are performing admirably at present, Conte could still look to bring the big Italian into the club, to give them the best chance of success in Europe next season.

The Juventus man has played under Conte for club and country and a reunion with the Blues’ boss is something that would likely appeal to the central defender.

One Chelsea fan is sat enjoying a Christmas cracker of a knees-up with his pals and he thinks Bonucci would be a superb signing for the club.

James Rodriguez

The Colombian playmaker is out of favour at Real Madrid and could be on the move during the forthcoming transfer window.

Rodriguez would offer an injection of creativity in midfield for the Blues and also goals from the middle of the park.

One Chelsea fan is having a game of pool here in the Tavern and he thinks that Rodriguez would be a quality signing, stating that the club should do all they can to pull off such a coup.
