Maurizio Sarri has a tough job ahead of him to get Chelsea back into a Champions League spot.
Despite winning an FA Cup last season, it will be viewed as an under-par season by Blues fans. With Arsenal and Liverpool heavily strengthening, it seems a tough ask for Chelsea to break their way back in to the top four.
Chelsea are widely known for, despite having successful youth teams, not giving youth a chance in their first team.
With Roman Abramovich seemingly winding down the volume of spending at Stamford Bridge, it would make sense the club finally start taking advantage of their youth set up. The Blues have won six out of the last seven FA Youth Cups, losing in the final of the other. With the extent of this success, it is highly surprising that so few make it to the first team.
Rather than sending their youth players out on endless loan deals, Chelsea should start to give them first team game time.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will surely get a chance in the first team this season.
The midfield powerhouse was in great form for Crystal Palace last season, so much so that he got a call-up into Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2018 World Cup.
The Lewishman born player has quick feet and a great technique. He is strong in his surging runs forward but also does a job defensively. The energy and ability of the player would make him a great asset for Chelsea in the coming season.
Chelsea should not spend big on a central midfielder when they have Ruben Loftus-Cheek at their disposal.

To unlock his true potential, the defensive midfielder needs game time. A true defensive midfielder, Ethan Ampadu looks to track runs and is strong in the tackle.
He also quickly released the ball to get his team on the move. Still aged just 17, he has a huge future ahead of him. Maurizio Sarri should at least give the player more action in cup competitions next season.
