AFC Wimbledon have been searching for a new manager ever since Neil Ardley decided to call time on his long association with the club.
The former boss spent six years at the helm of the Dons and parted company with the side second from bottom in League One, with the club having lost nine of their last 10 league matches.
Fast forward 10 days, and it appears as though the Kingsmeadow outfit have found a new man to try and turn things around and lead them to safety.
The former Notts County manager has been out of work since August after he was sacked from his role at Meadow Lane following a six-game winless run.
It is believed that Russell Slade, Shaun Derry and Wally Downes had also been on their shortlist, however, Nolan seems to be their favoured option.
The Verdict:

Nolan could be the exact type of appointment Wimbledon need to get them out of the tough spot they currently find themselves in.
Despite being sacked from Notts County, he did not have a bad record whilst in charge of the Magpies in the 18 months or so he was there as a player/manager.
The former Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United man will also bring a new approach to the Kingsmeadow outfit, one that they could look to benefit from as the season continues.
