Alasdair Gold has dropped a positive update on Twitter surrounding Tottenham striker Harry Kane ahead of tomorrow’s clash against West Ham.
Kane, who suffered through slight muscle issues last week on international duty, will apparently start against the Hammers after being deemed fit enough by manager Jose Mourinho and Spurs staff.

Indeed, as relayed by Gold, Mourinho has ‘told’ him that the ‘unbelievable’ Englishman will in fact feature ahead of summer signing Carlos Vinicius tomorrow – news which could potentially excite Spurs supporters.
Jose Mourinho just told me that Harry Kane will start on Sunday and Carlos Vinicius will be on the bench. He also said Lo Celso and Tanganga are out injured, but Lo Celso hopefully won’t be out long. Eric Dier is a doubt. Also said Gareth Bale might play Sunday, if not Thursday.

There was slight worry in midweek that Kane’s injury sustained on international duty could have been more serious, especially given his severe hamstring trouble earlier this year, but Mourinho has since confirmed to Gold that the England captain has made a full recovery.
Scoring 24 goals in all competitions last season for Spurs, despite missing a substantial portion of the campaign, it’s no secret that he is an integral part of the squad. The 6 foot 2 striker had been Tottenham’s sole centre-forward before Carlos Vinicius joined in the summer, putting an end to Lilywhites’ long wait for a backup option.

Vinicius’ arrival takes the pressure off Kane’s shoulders to spearhead Mourinho’s attack, but it is certainly a boost to have the 27-year-old available once more.
As the game against West Ham looms, so does the impending debuts of Gareth Bale and Vinicius, with Spurs being handed a further boost after this encouraging update on Kane. After battering Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, Mourinho will be looking to build on that superb win tomorrow.
