Our Middlesbrough fans here in the Transfer Tavern have smiles on their faces today after a comfortable 2-0 win against Burton Albion last night.
The men from Teeside have had a good summer in terms of the players they’ve signed and it was certainly pleasing for them to see Britt Assombalonga get on the score-sheet last night after his big money move earlier this summer.
For sure, then, Garry Monk’s men are going to be one of those sides up there in terms of the play-off and promotion chases and, as is often the case, the former Leeds manager has taken to Twitter to discuss the result.
Certainly, he seems happy enough with back-to-back wins for the team and reckons the team is only going to improve so, with that in mind, here is the best of the response to his Twitter:
