‘Amazing’, ‘Great player’ - Chelsea fans praise attacker after display against Leicester

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the semi-final of the FA Cup. It is, realistically, their side’s only genuine chance at silverware this season, and so their victory on Sunday against Leicester City was important for more than one reason.

In truth, it could be the difference between Antonio Conte leaving Chelsea and keeping his job, and so it’s fair to say that Spanish winger Pedro was the Italian’s saviour during extra-time.

The Spaniard hasn’t had the best few weeks, owing to a dip in form, but in typical fashion, he turned up when it really mattered on Sunday.

Surprisingly, it was a headed goal that won Chelsea the game in the end, and though that can be put down to pure luck on Pedro’s part, a recent post from Chelsea on their official Twitter page seems to suggest that it wasn’t. Indeed, they’ve harped back to a previous game between the Blues and Leicester City – with Pedro scoring a headed goal on that occasion too.

This has certainly shocked the fans in the Transfer Tavern, but it doesn’t appear as though the fans on Twitter are all that surprised. Instead, they’ve taken the opportunity to heap praise upon the 30-year-old.
