The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been celebrating all day long…
After a solid start to the season, Chelsea were expected to put in a good performance against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, but nobody could have predicted how the game eventually went down.
It was a stunning performance from the Blues, and despite going 1-0 down in the first-half, Antonio Conte’s side were on top throughout.
A great goal from Alvaro Morata tied things up, before a last-ditch winner from Michy Batshuayi sent Chelsea fans into dreamland.
However, amidst all the celebrations, the fans in the pub can’t help but feel a tad frustrated at David Luiz. For the second straight game, the Brazilian had a lapse in concentration and had a mad moment. First, it was a red card against Arsenal, and against Atletico Madrid, it was by giving away a penalty.
It was a clear offence from the Brazilian, and it doesn’t appear as though the Chelsea fans on Twitter are going to forget it quickly. Immediately following the decision and continuing today, Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to hammer the Brazilian for the foul.
