‘Announce Wembley’ - Leeds fans react to latest update

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really excited about where their season could take them this year after a good start to the campaign.

After good work in pre-season both off and on the field, the club started the campaign with a 3-2 win over Bolton – followed up by a good win against Port Vale in the League Cup.

Certainly, then, there is early momentum with the club and they will be looking to keep that up in the fixtures to come with Preston up next at Elland Road.

Whilst we wait to see if they can do that this weekend, though, the draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup has been made with Leeds to play Newport County.

Indeed, the game is to be played at Elland Road, despite Newport being drawn as the home side, and so here is the best of the reaction on Twitter to the news:
