Sheffield Wednesday fans in the Transfer Tavern have been ripping into ex-Burnley man, George Boyd. Boyd signed for Wednesday in the summer transfer window on a free from Burnley and has made 14 appearances in the Championship for his new club, scoring once. Although the experienced pro has come under criticism for a perceived lack of effort in the last few weeks.
The Wednesday fans propping our bar up have been suffering a poor season this campaign, as the promotion chasers of the last few years currently find themselves 18th in the table. Although the club are well clear of the drop zone, with an eight-point buffer between them and 22nd placed Birmingham, Wednesday fans won’t be happy with their club’s backwards movement after being in the playoff final against Hull City just two years ago.
George Boyd was brought into the squad to add some much needed Premier League experience to a side with ambitions of reaching England’s top flight, although they’ve majorly stalled as they now face another season in the Championship next year. Fans have become frustrated as the ageing Boyd seems to have lost his legs and fans aren’t happy with his lack of effort on the pitch.

You could at least look like you’re enjoying it, George

If you are enjoying it, let your face know mate. Last 2 games you've seemed like your separate front the team – a loner – and not looked happy to me

Jesus !! Have to do a lot more than Saturday pal ! Dreadful, the goal masked over a poor performance

Definitely needs to do more then, only seen a decent game from him twice. Every other game he has looked unfit.
