Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are groaning after hearing reports that another of their club legends is set to depart Stamford Bridge.
The Blues supporters hoped the likes of Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole would finish their careers in West London but both were offloaded by Jose Mourinho; with Chelsea having to endure the pain of seeing Lampard play for Manchester City last term.
Whilst the fans won’t experience another situation like that, The Daily Mirror has revealed that captain John Terry is a target for Qatari outfit Al Arabi; who are managed by the former England skipper’s former team-mate Gianfranco Zola.
A lubricative pay-day may appeal to Terry, who has become a bit-part of the Chelsea side this season with Mourinho preferring the young talents of Kurt Zouma at numerous stages of the Blues disastrous campaign.
35-year-old Terry sees his current Chelsea deal expire in the summer and he is free to discuss a pre-contractual agreement with clubs outside of England from January.
Chelsea fans, is letting Terry leave the right approach? Let us know in the comments below!
