
Chelsea have approached Manuel Pellegrini in their latest attempt to hunt down a manager that can bring titles and success to ‘The Blues’ after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti. Pellegrini in response has rejected the proposed 4 year deal at Stamford Bridge by announcing he has no plans to leave Malaga.
The news emerged when Pellegrini’s agent has revealed that Chelsea had inquired about the availability English giants have inquired about the availability the Chilean Manger, but added that he is happy working in the Primera Division.
“It is normal for clubs without a coach, such as Chelsea through intermediaries, to inquire about Pellegrini,” Martinez told Chilean radio station Cooperativa.
“But he is very comfortable at Malaga and has a contract there. He has put a lot of effort into Malaga and is pleased and excited to work with the team.”
Chelsea’s targets, as expected, are straight from the A list of managers with no name to big to be linked with the lucrative role. After the approach to Pellegrini has been shot down Chelsea’s attentions appear to now have moved to Turkey coach Guus Hiddink and Porto’s Europa League winning boss Andre Villas-B`oas.
