Liverpool are in a battle with Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid to sign 15 year-old teenage sensation Javier Gonzalez Argal. The young striker left Athletic Bilbao last summer to join the Laredo youth academy and his impressive goalscoring form has attracted the interest of some of Europe’s major clubs.
Argal has scored a staggering 20 goals in just 7 games for the Laredo youth team this season and this run of form hasn’t gone unnoticed. Argal already underwent a trial with Real Madrid in October, but now Barcelona, along with Liverpool and Chelsea, have also shown their interest in the talented young striker, which makes him one of the most sought after young talents in Europe at the moment.
It appears that scouts from all four clubs have been to watch Argal in action and have all been impressed with what they have seen from the youngster.
But it is believed Real Madrid are the favourites to land the 15 year-old, as he wouldn’t have to leave his home base to join Madrid’s youth set-up and an offer has already been tabled reportedly and the Argal family will make a decision on whether they will accept that deal in the coming days.
