Arsenal: Fans angry with Unai Emery after his comments on Southampton

Arsenal fans are angry with manager Unai Emery after the Spaniard was complimentary of Saturday’s opponents Southampton.

In his pre-match press conference, Emery said that the Saints are good away from home and that they will be motivated for the game at the weekend (via Islington Gazzette).

The comments from the Basque-born coach come just under a month after the Saints were thrashed 9-0 by Leicester City in the Premier League (via BBC).

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men are in a terrible run of form of late and have won none of their last seven games in all competitions (via WhoScored).

Meanwhile, the Gunners are also in a run of bad form having gone their last five games in all competitions without a win.

Saturday’s encounter comes amidst reports that Emery has until the new year to save his job in north London, according to The Sun.

Fans are angry with the 48-year-old as they took to Twitter to launch a scathing attack on him.
