Arsenal spent a lot of money over the summer, but more could be coming in January. According to the Times, the injury to Danny Welbeck has led to a rethink of their January plans, and a quiet month could now prove to be somewhat busier.
Specifically, a move for Lille man Nicolas Pepe in January has been mooted, with the winger apparently rated around the £27 million mark.
He’s enjoyed a brilliant campaign at Lille this term, with his energy, pace and goalscoring acumen serving the French outfit well.
Of course, Arsenal have had their own success going forward this season, but an injury to Welbeck has reduced Unai Emery’s options – and so he clearly feels as though he needs to act.
It’s a move that would seemingly be popular amongst Arsenal fans. In response to the talk from the Times, there has been a lot of chatter online, with Gunners delivering their verdict on the interest.
Pepe, it seems, is a player that lots of supporters would love to have at the Emirates. A selection of their responses can be found below…

Looks like there’s a very good chance Arsenal complete at least 1 signing in January. Pepe & Fornals would be incredible coups in that window. Add Hermoso or Maguire and Tierney, Firpo, or Augustinsson in the summer and we’ve got a nice squad.
