Arsenal fans are keen on seeing Cagliari star Nicolo Barella in the club’s colours after reports came to light that the club has joined the race for the 21-year-old’s signature.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by the Sun, the Italian has been scouted by the Arsenal representatives to be a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey after negotiations between the Welshman and the club broke down last month.
The midfielder has been on the radar of many of the top European clubs after two stellar seasons in the Serie A and his form seems to be only getting better this season. Barella earned his first international cap last week when Italy played to a 1-1 draw with Ukraine, while he also started in their Nations League win over Poland on Sunday.
Arsenal fans seem to be optimistic about Barella taking over from Ramsey as manager Unai Emery continues to blow new life into the Gunners.
