For a lot of Arsenal fans, the decision to let Serge Gnabry leave the club for Werder Bremen back in summer 2016 was an appalling one. The versatile attacker has a big future and now that he’s been picked up by Bayern Munich it’s a matter of time before he’s a world star, and that’s exactly what the fans want to avoid happening with Reiss Nelson.

According to Goal.com Nelson is set to join Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on-loan for the upcoming season and The Gunners will be desperate to ensure that any deal that does go ahead is just a loan one. The youngster is a superb talent and his ability would be sorely missed at The Emirates if was to leave for good. At such a young age there’s a lot that the winger has to achieve and the Arsenal fans will be hoping he chooses to achieve it with them.
Most supporters have been calling for young Reiss Nelson so more a regular feature in the senior squad. He’d be joining the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Hector Bellerin and Alex Iwobi on a list of players from the academy who have made the senior squad. However, he could choose to follow in the footsteps of one of his close friends, Jadon Sancho, who swapped life at Manchester City for a place in the Borussia Dortmund senior side last year.
