Some Arsenal fans still remain hopeful of the north London club signing both Dayot Upamecano and Thomas Partey after pictures of both of them were tweeted on AFTV Media‘s Twitter page with the caption ‘the dream’.
The pair have been targets for the Gunners for a while now, with the former reportedly claiming that he would like to play in the Premier League. Partey’s father has also recently backed his son if he wanted to join AFC, as he confirmed to Ghana Web that Arsenal have made a transfer proposal and said that he would be glad if he made the switch.
Nevertheless, everything is all speculation until a deal is done, but some Gooners remain hopeful.
Both could prove to be decent additions into the Gunners’ starting 11 based off their stats so far this season. Upamecano wins 5.7 duels per Bundesliga game, and also averages 3.3 clearances, 2.1 tackles and 1.7 interceptions, according to Sofascore. Meanwhile, Partey wins 6.6 duels per La Liga match, and averages 1.2 clearances, 2.1 tackles and 1.4 interceptions, as per the website.
These Gooners remain hopeful of signing the duo in the summer transfer window:
