Arsenal fans are lauding Bernd Leno after a statistic emerged following the 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City.
The Premier League’s official Twitter account revealed that the shot-stopper has made more saves (73) than any other ‘keeper in the top-flight.
It proves an even more stunning stat when you look at the other sides included at the top of the list with bottom-half clubs like Newcastle United, Norwich City, Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion among the top five clubs.
Arsenal’s defensive record this season has been far from ideal with the Gunners conceding 27 goals in the top-flight, the eighth-most in the division (via Premier League).
This has seen the north London giants keep a grand total of two clean sheets, the joint-least among the sides in the league.
Fans were left lauding the Germany international after the statistic about the number saves he’s made emerged as they took to Twitter to react.
