Arsenal fans were lauding Bukayo Saka after the youngster put in a match-saving performance in the side’s 2-2 draw away to Standard Liege.
With the Gunners 2-0 down and heading for their second consecutive defeat in the group, Saka whipped in a superb cross for Alexandre Lacazette, who headed home the first goal.
He was then involved in a brilliant exchange of passes with substitute Gabriel Martinelli before curling in a brilliant shot into the bottom right-hand corner.
The game against the Belgian side saw Saka play in an unfamiliar left wing-back and left-back role, something Freddie Ljungberg revealed the 18-year-old wasn’t happy about.
Interim head coach Ljungberg was full of praise for the youngster, claiming he was ‘amazing’ and that he had a ‘tremendous’ night (via football.london).
Fans were full of happiness for the out-and-out winger as they took to Twitter to lavish him with praise.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful, with one fan suggesting that Saka is “much better” than Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, who himself was on the scoresheet for the Red Devils on Thursday evening:
