Arsenal fans are lauding club legend Thierry Henry on the 17th anniversary of his hat-trick against AS Roma in the Champions League.
The Frenchman was in sublime form as he scored a brilliant hat-trick with the Gunners running out 3-1 winners back in 2002 (via BBC).
Despite winning comfortably, the Italian side took a shock lead on the night after just four minutes. However, a wave of Henry’s magic wand and Arsene Wenger’s side were soon in business with the World Cup winner equalising just two minutes later.
He then scored two goals in the second half, including a stunning free-kick as the club won their opening game of the second group stage.
However, the club was knocked out at the second group stage after drawing four games in a row, including all three home games.
Fans reminisced over Henry’s goal as they took to Twitter to lavish the forward with praise. Here is a selection of tweet from Gooners:
One of the greatest strikers ever to live!

Remember this so well. Begging mum to have my mates over, we set a sofa camp up, in our Arsenal full kits & watched Henry smash Roma. What a time. https://t.co/GIuyOSDBtL
