According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the club aren’t able to spend big on a new manager and are looking at hiring a man who can start immediately.

The Daily Mail have reported something similar, claiming that the club’s hunt for a new manager is being ‘hindered’ by a limited budget.

Their managerial pursuit seems to be taking a turn for the worst after reports over the future of Mauricio Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Argentine coach is eyeing the hot seat at Manchester United. Meanwhile, The Mirror are reporting that the club are set to miss out on the number one target, Rodgers.

The last time the club were reported to have had a lack of finances the Gunners surprised fans with the signing of £72m Nicolas Pepe.

Fans were less than pleased after the reports over their financial situation while chasing a new manager as they took to Twitter to react.
