Arsenal are in one of the most crucial transition periods of their history and they have very little in the way of cash or know-how to navigate it successfully. Unai Emery, according to Goal.com, is looking at letting a fair few of his players go, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi all on that list.
Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Mustafi just three of a number who could all be moved on in a summer clear out, but there is an acceptance that finding buyers will be extremely difficult. https://t.co/0E6QvaBTlX

The Gunners are happy to see that a number of their players are looking to be shipped out this season. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and plenty of others are eating up precious space on the wage bill and should they be allowed to leave the club, the wages and transfer fees that will be freed up and received will be very handy for Emery to work with.
The issues come in the fact that letting all of these players go will be tough, and it could take a number of windows to get rid of all of the deadwood. Mkhitaryan and Ozil have massive wages and it’ll be hard to find a club happy to take the pair off of their hands for the same weekly wages. Meanwhile, no club in their right mind would willingly sign Mustafi given his shocking performances, so the Arsenal fans aren’t exactly delighted by the latest summer update.
You can read the Gunners’ thoughts on the Goal.com update here:
I don’t mind us getting rid of them but on top of Ramsey, Cech and Welbeck who are already gone for free then it won’t be good enough simply replacing them, we need to improve upon them otherwise we’re going backwards and I can’t see any of this happening and it’s depressing

It has to happen though. That wage bill is ridiculous for what we're getting out of it. Even if it means being on the losing end of another bunch of sales, it must happen. Mustafi on 180. Mesut on 350. We can't sustain it.

Who'd buy them?

I'd happily take no signings if it meant getting rid of those 3

The Gunners are far from happy and it’s starting to sink in that it will be a long time before they’re where they want to be with this squad.
