Arsenal fans on Twitter buzzing with Gazidis stay

This summer has seen Arsenal become one of the most active clubs and that’s gone from signing players right through to fending off interest in their chief executive. The club today released a statement on the Arsenal website that claims Ivan Gazidis won’t be leaving the club this summer and that he’s going to be staying with the club working with Unai Emery.

For most fans, signings are the most important part of a transfer window, however, for Arsenal this summer whether they keep Gazidis or not could be make or break. The fans all want to keep Gazidis on board, despite having slated him and called for his, Stan Kroenke’s and Arsene Wenger’s heads during the worst years of Wenger’s reign at the club. Instead, the fans are hoping him and Emery can turn the club around.

The last two seasons have seen Arsenal miss out on Champions League football and no top club wants that as the money and pulling power that comes with being a Champions League club is huge. Instead, Arsenal have watched as Tottenham gain the Champions League money and if the Gunners are to get back to playing in Europe’s top club competition then they’ll need Gazidis and Emery to be at the top of their game to help the club achieve their goals.
