Arsenal have started life well under Unai Emery. The Spanish tactician acted in the summer transfer window on the squad he had available to him and whilst there are still a lot of changes to be made, it’s been a positive start. One of those aforementioned changes that needs to be made is at left-back, which has become a real problem area for The Gunners in recent times.
Do We NEED A New Left Back??? Robbie says that he would target a new LB in the Transfer Window after Kolasinac’s performance against Wolves… Would you guys get rid? Comment a LB that Unai Emery should go in for? #AFC #AFTV

At the moment, Arsenal have got two out-and-out left-backs in the form of Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal. The only issue here is that the Bosnian is prone to both injuries and mistakes, whilst Monreal is kicking on at the age of 32. Signing a young left-back for the future has to be high up on Emery’s January to-do list and the club will be keen to see someone of a high quality coming into the club.
Defensively, Emery’s Arsenal have been so much better than Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal. After 12 games last season The Gunners had 22 points, having scored 22 goals and conceded 16 goals, a tally which that him sitting 6th in the Premier League. However, this time around they’ve got two points more with a five better goal difference and sit a place higher in 5th, although that could be improved upon even further if The Gunners had a quality player to fill in at left-back.
You can read The Gunners’ call for a new left-back here:
I would keep Kolasinac but to be a number two I like chillwell or van aanholt would love say players like Alex sandro players of that quality but not with this board in charge

Any signing has to be at the top of his game. Any mediocre player like Kolasinac only needs one off game for the fans to turn against him.

I think this is the third time I'm mentioning this guy here, but Grimaldo from Benfica is someone Arsenal should seriously look into!

The Gunners are all in agreement that they need a new left-back and they all seem to have plenty of suggestions for who would be best.
