Arsenal fans on Twitter can’t wait to see an Nketiah Europa League masterclass

Yesterday, Arsenal announced the squad that they’ll be taking to face Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League and with both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failing to travel and Danny Welbeck injured, the responsibility has fallen to Eddie Nketiah to lead the line for The Gunners.

Arsenal’s 19-year-old striker is a clinical young frontman and he’s scored goals throughout age group football with The Gunners, however, he’s yet to really prove himself and make the step up to scoring senior goals for the club. The moment of his career to date came last season when he bagged a brace off the bench in the Carabao Cup against Norwich, but they remain his only senior goals in 11 outings, even if he’s only managed 130 minutes in those games.

Tonight, though, if Nketiah does start and does get to run at the Vorskla defence from the get-go, he will certainly cause them problems. Getting on the scoresheet will be the young striker’s priority as he aims to make Emery’s selection headaches even harder, but at the age of just 19, it will be a very long time before he’s in the same equation as Laca and Auba who are both likely to play when The Gunners host the first North London Derby since the end of the Arsene Wenger era on Sunday.
