The Arsenal fans on Twitter have been looking at their midfield options and have been questioning where the creativity will be coming from. The club have let both Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla leave for free this summer and with predominantly defensive midfielders at the club, you can understand where The Gunners are coming from.
Our central midfield depth now is quite superb:
Xhaka,Ramsey, Torreira, Niles,Guendouzi and Elneny. Lot of variety in that midfield. I don’t think we will loan out Guendouzi too because from what I am reading, he’s more than ready to play at the top level.

No one is questioning that there’s talent in the Arsenal midfield. Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and soon-to-be Gooner, Lucas Torriera have talent in abundance, but it’s a good question to ask where the creativity will be held. Some fans would bring Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the argument, but it looks like Unai Emery will be deploying the pair as interiors behind the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette.
Tactically, Emery is a superb gaffer and the fans shouldn’t be questioning his methods. Seeing a side under his tutelage will be a breath of fresh air compared to the stagnating style of football that Arsene Wenger deployed in his final few years as the Arsenal manager. However, with a lot of defensive options in midfield, it will be interesting to see how the Spanish manager intends to transition from midfield to attack.
You can see what the Gunners on Twitter have been saying about their midfield options here:
Not much creativity in there though. We haven’t exactly replaced Santi nor Jack in that sense.

I'd want another creative CM, with Jack & Santi leaving, but then I remember that Maitland-Niles will clearly get a chance to shine this season.

We haven't exactly replaced jack and santi yet. Not much creativity in midfield though.

its not superb as we could do wit more quality but for dis season we will make do. Matching against the top 6 is always going to be d benchmark tbh- quality wise

As you can see, the fans all seem to agree that they might struggle for creativity in central midfield next season.
