Arsenal were at it again today when they smashed five past a sorry Fulham side at Craven Cottage. The Gunners were delighted with the result and they all had one man to thank for it. Whilst it was Alexandre Lacazettem Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who got the goals, it was the conductor Lucas Torreira who’s been receiving the plaudits.

Torreira has really settled in well in North London and he’s showing everyone what he’s made of with a touch of class at the moment. The Uruguayan has shown all of the Arsenal fans who have been watching exactly what they’ve been missing and his ability to win the ball back and recycle it, turning defence into attack and providing a link between defence and midfield with ease, and it’s clear for all to see.
Unai Emery’s summer transfer window is looking better and better every time the Gunners play and securing the services of Torreira on such a cheap deal at the age of just 22 looks like a stroke of genius from the Spanish gaffer. The next step will be to get Arsenal back into the Champions League competing for silverware and if they can keep Torreira happy at The Emirates then there’s no doubt he’ll help them to achieve that.
