Arsenal could well have wrapped up their transfer business this season. The North London club has signed five new players and still has plenty of time to sell some of their deadwood. However, according to Turkish Football on Twitter, Domagoj Vida could become Unai Emery’s 6th signing for around £15 million from Besiktas.

Vida is one of those who can be thanking the World Cup in Russia for his move if it does go ahead. The 29-year-old centre-back was largely not so impressive up until the tournament, having swapped Dynamo Kiev for Besiktas on a free back in January. However, he could now be set to swap Besiktas for Arsenal just seven months after signing for the Turkish club.
Besiktas’ president Fikret Orman is supposedly in London now with the future of the 29-year-old the reason for his visit. If he does manage to get his move it’s likely that The Gunners will have to part with up to £15 million for his services. It would make sense for the Croatian to move, though, seeing as Arsenal only have four fit centre-backs and could be set to use a three-at-the-back system at times, meaning they’ll need more depth.

As you can see, the supporters are on board with this decision and will be keen to see the big Croatian sign, although at the moment it doesn’t look close to completion.
