Hector Bellerin was one of those who couldn’t catch a break last season. His performances on the pitch were not helped but his charismatic outgoing nature off it as he attracted attention to his lifestyle. That being said, he looks to have knuckled down this season and is showing just how much good he can be, with another fine display yesterday to back that up.

The Spanish full-back is no doubt learning from his countryman Unai Emery and it seems like the pacey full-back is one of the key players to Emery’s system. The defender is used both at the back and going forward and it looks like Emery is trying to develop Bellerin with the qualities of a winger as well as those of a full-back and at the moment it looks to be paying dividends.
The Gunners kept their first clean sheet of the season against Everton yesterday and the fans would have been loving it as Petr Cech, Bellerin and young Rob Holding all played their part in keeping out Marco Silva’s Everton. It’s made even more impressive by the fact that yesterday was the first game in which Everton haven’t netted this season and the threat of Richarlison, who was up against Bellerin, was always going to dangerous. The Spaniard dealt with him well though, and he’ll be looking forward to the next match.
