Arsenal: Fans salivate over Joe Willock’s winner against Liverpool as it wins Goal of the Month

Arsenal fans are salivating over Joe Willock’s long-range strike against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup as it was announced as the club’s goal of the month.

The England youth international carried the ball forward before unleashing a rocket into the top-left hand corner past the despairing Caoimhin Kelleher in the Liverpool goal.

It proved to be a mere consolation for the Gunners as they ended up throwing away a two-goal lead, eventually being beaten on penalties by the Merseysiders.

Willock has been in brilliant goalscoring form for the north London giants this season, scoring four goals in his 10 starts across all competitions (via WhoScored).

He was given high-praise by manager Unai Emery, who said the 20-year-old can fill the void left by Aaron Ramsey, who left the Emirates Stadium for Juventus at the end of last season (via The Sun).

Fans took to Twitter to go crazy over the strike which won the goal of the month award.
