Some Arsenal fans were left to slam the display of Mohamed Elneny in their away game versus Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday lunchtime.
Despite a very encouraging overall performance from Mikel Arteta’s team, the Egypt international flattered to deceive some members of the Emirates Stadium faithful.

Elneny failed to make a single interception, tackle or key pass in the match, and also lost possession of the ball no fewer than seven times, earning him a quite measly 6.6 overall rating on Sofascore, as he was substituted off midway through the second half.
With Thomas Partey now fully fit, and Dani Ceballos as another option in the heart of the midfield, the 28-year-old may well fear for his starting place going forward into the rest of the 2020/21 term.

These Gunners supporters slammed his performance on Twitter, with one Gooner even going as far as to claim that the central midfeld player was ‘shocking’:
“Good Elneny is off. He should be sold in the summer.”
