Arsenal fans were turning on director of football Edu Gaspar after a report from Duncan Castles on the Brazilian’s thoughts on Patrick Vieira.
According to the journalist, the former Arsenal midfielder is ‘championing’ Vieira’s candidacy for the position of head coach, pushing the other people on the four-man committee.

The Frenchman has seemingly struggled with current club OGC Nice this season, winning just seven of their 17 Ligue 1 games this season.
His season has gone from bad to worse as the French side have been plagued with problems on and off the pitch.
On the pitch, Nice, embarrassingly, lost in the Cup to Ligue 2 strugglers Le Mans as they conceded three goals in the opening 16 minutes (via Daily Mail).
Off the pitch, he had to handle a situation which saw 18-year-old Lamine Diaby steal teammate Kasper Dolberg’s £62k watch.
Fans were hitting out at Edu after reports he wants a struggling Vieira as manager. Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

If this is correct, Edu can head out the exit door too. Vieira has done nothing to show he is anything but a mediocre manager https://t.co/V72JW1kQlM
