Arsenal fans were wishing Philippe Senderos well after the former Gunners defender retired from professional football.
Senderos played for the club from 2004 till the summer of 2011, making 118 appearances and scoring four goals (via Transfermarkt).

His time at the club was somewhat successful as he won two trophies including the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
However, his greatest achievement arguably came in the 2005/2006 season, when he formed part of the defence that broke the Champions League record for the longest time without conceding a goal, 955 minutes (via Sport360).
The extraordinary run saw the Gunners keep a record-breaking 10 clean sheets in a row as they narrowly lost out to Barcelona in the final at the Stade de France.
Fans were full of good wishes for the centre-half when he announced his retirement from football as they took to Twitter to react, with one supporter joking that he could be Mikel Arteta’s assistant should the Spaniard end up in the Emirates dugout.
