There are interested faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by the Daily Express that Arsenal could well be set to swoop for a highly rated youngster Manchester City currently own.
The Gunners are looking at Abdisalam Ibrahim, the young midfielder who is currently on loan in his homeland of Norway and feel that he will be a star of the future. The player is not only being tracked by Arsene Wenger and his club but also by a host of other Premier League clubs.
Despite being highly rated at Manchester City, the player is one of the targets of the summer and at only 22 years of age is certainly one for seasons to come. Having been personally assisted by Patrick Vieira who rates the player as someone who can break into the City first team and make a difference, should any club want to prise him away from the former Premier League champions it will take not only a fair wad of money but also some top persuasion skills to boot.
The midfielder is preparing to travel for the Under-21 international tournament this summer and will be watched by not only scouts from the Gunners but also from Liverpool, Tottenham and Fulham.
Billed as a Yaya Toure of the future, Ibrahim certainly has a bright future and Arsenal are hoping it will be with them.
Would Ibrahim be better off with Arsenal than City? Will the Gunners lure the Somali-born Norwegian? Rate this rumour below.
