Arsenal: Justin Kluivert targeted in potential swap deal with Roma

Arsenal have reportedly identified Justin Kluivert as a potential signing this summer and they believe they might be able to agree a player-swap deal with Roma.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport via Metro, Arsenal are currently in talks with Roma to sign Justin Kluivert as part of a player-swap deal including Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Discussions are reportedly progressing well and both sides seem to be happy with a type of deal which involves the two players exchanging clubs.

This deal seems like a no-brainer for Arsenal, who allowed Mkhitaryan to leave on loan in the first place, so they clearly thought the 31-year-old was surplus to requirements.

With Kluivert only 21, he is raw and has bags of potential. He has scored four goals and picked up one assist in Serie A this season, maybe not the most eye-catching returns but his attacking statistics show that perhaps he has just been unlucky this season, per WhoScored.

The Dutchman has averaged 1.9 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.7 successful dribbles a game. This highlights that he has a creative threat and, with the crop of youth at Arsenal like Dean Willock and Bukayo Saka becoming very involved in the Gunners squad, the Emirates Stadium could be a perfect place for Kluivert to succeed.

Gunners fans, would you be happy with this proposed swap deal? Comment below with your views!
